I headed to the woods for the first time Monday afternoon I was in my stand on the south side of my ranch that ajoins Type 2. Three hours into my hunt the sun was setting and primetime was only minutes away when I started hearing something, then I hear to guys yelling back and forth I wanted to fletch one up. Type 2 hunters please shut up when your hunting give the other hunters that know how to hunt a chance to kill something.

I hate when people can't/won't show common courtesy.

Be glad you don't have a lease like by buddy did last year. He found a nice place south of Putnam. Put up a blind, feeder, food plot, etc. Opening morning he hears ATV's, people blowing horns, and making all sorts of ruckus. Come to find out the people who own the property next door are anti hunters and do everything legal on their side of the fence to spook the deer.
Buddy took a nice 8 point that opening day. Figured the idiots next door spooked it over the fence.
coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

Ya i think the guys next to us just didn't want us getting a jump on any bucks this year.... which so far we're actually planning on letting everything we've seen on the game cam have another year so if that's the case then i guess i see how this season will go

Two days before opening morning i saw 2 punks at cabelas looking at bows, so i decide to follow them around the store... that was the best hour i have spent. They went down every isle in the archery section and bought one of everything, including bows without checking draw length, uncut arrows, and almost busted out laughing when they each bought shooting gloves and releases, and bow quiver and hip quivers.... c'mon, these guys are why i wont hunt public land.

You took time to follow them around? Why didn't you introduce yourself, and give them some tips rather than let them walk around aimlessly getting stuff they can't use? Look, we all had to start somewhere, and these guys didn't have the luxury of having someone like a father or relative to show them how. A few minutes out of your time might have made a difference to these guys, and at least maybe helping them a little at being successful, and instead of a laugh you might have gotten a lot more pleasure out of it to boot.

Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

It's not just on public land. Our neighbor drives up and down the fenceline at 7:30 and 5:00 every weekend during the season. He says he's checking cattle, so it's not harassment. He's just being a jerk.

i think he's just saying everyone starts somewhere... im 25 and last spring was my first time hunting and i was fortunate enough to be accepted into a family who brought me in and taught me how to get started and gave me a place to learn the lifestyle of hunting... Not everyone is as fortunate and needs someone to tech them the ropes, it'd be a lot to take in without proper guidance

I agree, I remember that at some point I was taught how to Tie my own Shoe Laces. I still trip sometimes, but NOT because of UN-tied Laces.
