Anyone ever try that Freeze Dried Camping Food you can buy? Reading the package it sounds like you boil for 10 minutes and end up with a 3 course Gourmet meal but I dunnno.

I'd listen to Koenig. Sounds to me like he's already done the field testing. :o)

Be kind with your words, thankful to your Creator and generous with the meat from your hunt.

Yep ate them a bunch. I prefer them over MRE's (they are lighter), but MRE's are good if you don't want to stop. Anyway usually you bring water to a boil and pour it in the bag and let it sit for so long. Make sure you put the right amount of boiling water.

the mountain house meals I've had are good, with the exception of the breakfasts, there's something about the bacon that's just no right.

I have had several different Mountain House ones, the beef stew and lasagna are the best in my opinion. I agree that the breakfast ones are not too good.
