So I got to thinking about some things I want to accomplish this season.

#1 get out at least 3 times a week on average. My work schedule allows for 5 days a week, but I might be spendin some days just scouting.

#2 Pick out drakes. I've gotten pretty good. Last year I didn't shoot a hen till late in Dec. while I was in NM.

#3 Be patient with Cali. I blame her too much when 90+% of the time it was something I did or didn't do.

#4 Have fun and make memories regardlees of the situation.

.... so what are some of ya'lls goals for this year?

-I would like to get out 3 times a week as well.

-Film some of my hunts.

-Hunt with people I haven't ever hunted with.

-Hunt by myself 10 times (just me and the dog)

- Lastly, to just do what I do every year...murder some ducks in cold blood bolt

.. good ones cable!
for me:
1) hunt 2 times a week
2) film more of my hunts with my new barrel cam
3) Shoot a very nice green wing teal to get mounted
4) Shoot atleast three geese all season in the corn fields( never have hunted geese in corn fields and this year i have some to hunt with my new dekes) This will be my first year to try and target geese and as long as i dont get skunked this season i will be happy.
5) Have nothing major go wrong and make many more good memorys to add onto last year.

- Cable- Hope we get a few hunts in together this year!

I would like to get a group hunt together with Shane, Steve, Mark, Gary, Robbie and Ken and put the smack down on some trash ducks.

If Shane can keep the boat in the water..........and hope no snakes fall in the boat to scare Robbie and Mark..........and Ken doesn't complain about not shooting greenheads, Gary doesn't go on and on about LSU, and Steve doesn't tell us what he was listening to while he was having supper off the egg, it should be a decent hunt on Cooper.

My first goal is to get five of these 31X10.50-15s 6 ply mudders on the Jeep this afternoon in place of the oem 30X9.50s. They are due here from Dallas around noon.

http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?ds...p;nichtweiter=1

Next goal is to receive this that I ordered yesterday and should get via UPS before Friday ...

http://4wheelonline.com/images/products/VIAIR-pac-30033-lrg.jpg

The third goal is to take the Jeep up to our wetlands property, air down to around 15 psi and let 'er rip! Assuming we get through the slop better than last time when we had this much rain ...

Then finally I'll air back up to 25-30 psi for the 5 miles of highway drive back home.

Oh ... almost forgot ... hope to get a few ducks again this season for my pups.

Cappy ... At my side for thirteen years, in my heart forever.

As soft as that mud is you may need a lift kit, lockers (front and rear) and 33" super swampers. http://eastsidecustomtruck.com/i-125030-tsl-bias.html

1. Get on a 50 mallard hunt. 10 man limit of mallards over one set of decoys.

2. Go to AR at least 2 trips.

3. Hunt some green timber holes that I haven't been to in a couple of years.

I have two goals for the season. Last year I shot a few over 50 ducks. This year we had a baby, so my hunting will be slightly curtailed. Still, I'd like to try and shoot 40 ducks. My second goal may be much harder. I'd love to shoot a drake canvasback. I've pretty much shot all the standard waterfowl, but of the true "non-rare" ducks (cinnamon teal, black duck, mottled duck, european or asian vagrant species) the canvasback is the only one I have left to shoot. I've seen a few in one area that I hunt. Maybe this will be the year.

1. Kill my first Pintail on the Katy Prairie. (don't get those in the flooded timber back in Arkansas)

2. Kill my first Redhead

3. Get back to Arkansas and hunt at least 5 times.

4. Have several great goose hunts (only been on one until I moved close to the Goose Hunting Captial of the World!!!)

(Gotta love living in Katy and being a waterfowl hunter!!)

1. Shoot more birds per hunt. Last year was 0.8 birds per hunt with 6 skunks. Only 1 limit last year and already had one limit in early teal this year.

2. Hunt with more people and new places. Last year I hunted with GR_Elliott, Fowldreams, Scooter, Macstar, Beer_Slayer, Hopedale, gacman, Zack, rusty, Gdogg and others. I will be on the Paris hunt and have a separate trip to hunt with Team Hillbilly out east.

3. Take better pictures. I really like some of the pictures posted up here, especially by J.J. and Sniper John

4. Get my daughter out at least once

Hunt as much as I can until my wife has the baby around Dec 30th. After that I'm thinking I might be able to get out maybe once a week tops. But I'm hoping for two times a week or more until then. Going to do my best to hunt more weekdays.

I've still never shot a woodie...hell never been on a hunt where one was shot. it's almost strange at this point. I got a spot that might hold some.

My goal plain and simple is to keep pouring fuel on the fire!

Got got his first duck (BWT hen) Saturday morning. I didn't know he could grin this big!

He missed his chances at several big ducks and can't wait to make up for it. I told him that the hunting won't be that easy this weekend. Lots of driving and getting up really early. No problem, he ain't stayin' home. laugh

Introduce some more friends to waterfowling.
Take my pregnant wife on one last solid duck hunt before the baby arrives.
Smart shots= more money in pocket= money to spend on baby= happy wife
