It's funny, I got here from a breeder/guide/trialer, the only thing that I can think of, is that she was hit hard with one, early on in her life and knows what it is all about.

The beeper just makes noise, if it's like mine you can turn the volume down by adjusting the bit switches. Then wrap some tape around it to mute the sound a little more. In the mean time, hang it on the fence near her kennel but not directly in her kennel so she can get used to the noise. Make sure when she wears it next time she has lots of fun and finds some birds quick. Let her wear it for a short time, then take it off, gradually extending the time over a couple of weeks. I have beepers but can't stand the noise myself, so I'll do without them. Good luck.

I got a new beeper for the collar and it was loud. I could tell Izzy didn't like it. I taped it up some and I don't have a problem.

keep working with your dog. Sounds to me like all you need to use is just the noise and not the stimulus.
Be kind with your words, thankful to your Creator and generous with the meat from your hunt.
