I went to fill up my feeder on Saturday and found my battery on the ground with my cut timer wires attached. I was freaking mad! Luckily I was able to splice the wires and got it running again. Hopefully the vandals will stay away until opening day. Im pretty sure they probably hunt the property next to mine. If its messed up again on opening morning im going back to camp to retrieve the boom box. Lets see them shoot old Mossyback with ACDC playing in the background all day long! I might even pop off ten boxes of 12ga left over from dove season.

If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

r u sure it was cut by people and all that??? ive come up on plenty of my feeders with batteries on the ground and alll that, with wires cut blah blah blah, but if u look close enough, the vandals are usually coons. they tear up more crap than u would think. just make sure u dont have a varmint problem before u go messin with people. just sayin, when people jack w/ ur stuff, they would probably take urr batery, and chunk it or something like that, not have it right below the feeder like it just fell there.

Cutting wires is illegal. Both timer wires cut along with the solar charger wires inside the box which was screwed shut. The lid was pryed off and wires cut with a knife. I does seem odd that they didn't push my empty feeder over and kick the timer off. My feeder has been in the same place for eight years without any problems until now. I found it two months ago with the lid off and the wires unplugged. I thought maybe a monster buck knocked the lid off and unplugged it. Now I know someone is messing with it! The other property has a feeder about 1500 yards from mine in the Piney woods of E.Tx.

I really hate it when people tear stuff up. Makes absolutely no sense at all.

Be kind with your words, thankful to your Creator and generous with the meat from your hunt.

Put a pad lock on your varmit guard. That way you know for sure if it is messed with that it is human and not varmit. I have seen alot of damage done by varmits that is initially blamed on humans.

I had the same thing happen a few years ago, except they stole the battery, timer, and knocked over the feeder. So I put a masterlock on the feeder, and I put a sign out saying the they were under camera surveylence. I never actually put a camera up, but the sign itself has kept people away from my feeders.

X2

Coons, wind, squirrels and what not are usually a bigger problem than someone having the balls to cross a fence walk into the property and dismantle a battery...

Are you or your feeder on a fence line? not that you are wrong by being on a fence line but it pisses a lot of people off for some reason, even though it is your property they think you can't hunt it. What else might you have done to piss them off? Just seems like if it were people that did this, something would have provoked it.

Here is your solution...Opening weekend....wait until they go to their blinds.....eat about 2-3 tablespoons of "Tang". Go to their campsite and drink lots of water. Once mother nature calls......and it will....remember the tablespoons of dry Tang.....commence to leaving little presents for them in their bunks or wherever you can get good aim....don't get mad...get even! up
