I was in Mason last week. Good activity at the feeders in spite of the acorns. I was set up on a trail and got my 1st doe w/ my bow! I was in an oak tree and every deer that past me stopped at the tree for some acorns. Good luck!

Last weekend just out side of Junction the deer were moving good. From what I saw last weekend grunting and rattling may not do you any good but it never hurts to try.

It has been slow in junction for me. I see a lot of deer out in the brush but they are not coming to the feeders really good yet. To much natural forage to eat with all of the rain we have been getting down there. Last Friday I stuck a spike that was walking by the feeder he only stopped for a brief moment so I got a shot off. Hopefully it will get better as the weeks go by.

Good starting Friday I will be there till the next Thursday. Full week of hunting in the rut should be fun.

I will be there the week prior to Thanksgiving.

I really thought this past weekend was going to be good. It was cold Friday morning as I sat there in my tree waiting. Two 7 pointers came out and were having a playful horn locking match. I let them walk as they were really young deer. I dropped 2 bales of alfalfa at my feeder and they payed no attention to it either. I watched a button buck eat a darn cactus flower vs. my corn though. The property that I hunt has been getting about a 1/2 inch of rain every week since opening weekend. It has been a really wet October. Hopefully the cooler weather will come back and lock in.

Ni sign of rutting at my place. Bucks still running together and does still with fawns. I think is still a week or two away.

bearcreek sent me a text last night from his place in junction.

said he stuck a doe and she went about 50 yds, but the interesting thing is he said there were 5 bucks still following her with some interest. they hung around even after she died.

he said the bucks were chasing out there already
i would say if the rut is not on officially, it is close.
i will be out there friday thru sunday, so i hope they are moving.

got my eye on a couple of mgmt bucks..
