I watched bucks all weekend long and I noticed the hawks are dark already what have yall heard or know or think when the rut will hit? thanks

I hunt in brown county...I live here and Ive seen a nice 8 running a doe around but honestly I have no idea. Let me know when you find something out.

Yeah for sure, I as well have seen a buck tending a doe. We still have three weeks and Im afraid we might miss the rut

we hunted in the london and mason area for 20 years and it seemed the rut started in the middle of october peaked the week of thanksgiving and continued through december. so many does, so little time!!!

We were in Brady this past weekend, and the young bucks are starting to chase does. I saw a couple minor fights between young bucks.



The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Out near Menard, had some small bucks going at it, and bucks were starting to chase does.

I saw young ones chasing two weeks ago. I believe it is on by now. Brown County by the way.

Saw some rut action in North Mills county last weekend. Mostly smaller deer but it is def. gettin started!

I hunt just up the road from you off 1221 and have seen the same thing...
We need to define, the Rut, when I say Rut has hit, I am speaking of peak rut, when every deer on the place is runnin doe and all the doe are starting to come into heat. I would agree 100% with what you said.
