I am suppose to go to andrews quail hunting next week with a friend, but I love the mountains so I decided to go to alpine today. I went to Elephant mountain wildlife management area there. Just a word of caution for any West Texicans that are planning on making a trip there. If you don't have four wheel drive-don't bother. The bridge over the creek was washed away and the creek looks more like a river right now. I wish I had gone to black gap, but I imagine the roads there arn't to good either.

Did you do any quail hunting while you were there? And did you do any good.

The answer to your question is no, but I did take off from work early yesterday. We went to Big springs and took a couple. I look forward to going back this month. I will go to black gap in January for 3 days.
