This should be interesting, we've got a couple of big cat's roaming the area and he's going to try and live trap them. I'm going to help him monitor the traps since I'm on the big ranch every day.

He would do better with dogs. He could then put kitty to sleep and do what ever he wants with the cats.

That should be exciting! Keep us informed. Never tried with a cage trap, but did with #4 Newhouse traps when I gov't trapped.

I've got several hundred coons at my lease if he wants to come by and get some bait for his traps

He has standing orders not to remove a cat from a trap until we've been contacted, I can assure you there will be plenty of picture's.

Kind of my opinion also, not too sure just how this will turn out.

You probably know more than me I've heard that they range a 50 mile radius before and I've hear a hundred mile radius...If that's the case sounds to me like he will have hell catching one...Hope to see pics though

Until a bunch of budget cuts, Val Verde County had quite a few of those trappers. Some of those guys are pretty darn good at what they do.

That is a solitary job and most of them will talk your ear off if you run into them out on the ranches.

Good luck with it and I won't be too surprised if he does catch one.

The big ranch is 36 sections and probably has the best den area's in the county. She was spotted earlier this year with 2 kitten's and we hope she'll stay in this area for the winter, ton's of deer and turkey's on this ranch.

Yes, a section of land is 640 acres and it equals one square mile.

1/4 section - 160 acres
1/2 section - 320 acres
1 section - 640 acres.
