Had the same thing happen several years ago, but i was allot Luckier. I had already left the ranch and was on the interstate going back into town, when i realized I'd left my Winchester 101 laying in the exact same position as the story. I was in my old 70 Bronco going about 70 when i noticed it. You've never seen anybody come to a more controlled and careful stop in your life. It's got a pucker factor of about 9.4 on the "OH Spit" scale.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.
