That's why we have concealed carry license and Ruger makes 44 mags.

If you haven't been scared in the woods in the dark, by yourself...well you haven't been to the woods enough. True!! The loudest scream I have ever heard came from my dad one night when something splashed in the water lol!! He was paranoid bcuz while we were trying to cut the head off a 360lb boar hog we could hear another big hog out in the darkness gruntin at us. He fired a shotgun out at it to scare it off but it didnt go nowhere. Anyways it was pretty dern funny at the time

I had a big sow charge me a few years back. I had taken a shot at her at about 50 yards through some trees, and she turned and started running directly at me. I had four shells in my Winchester and had already used one, and then fired two more at her during the charge but missed, and finally with the last shot dropped her at 10 yards in front of me.
I stood my ground, but I knew exactly how many rounds I had left with each shot, but didn't even think about what I'd done if I had missed the last shot.
Funny thing how we react under pressure, and confidence in your ability I believe plays a role also.
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
