I make no claim to be a hunter, but the hogs have become enough of a problem that I need to exercise some population control.

I have an AR-15 chambered in 6.8. I need some glass on it and I am wondering what you would advise to get the best bang per buck.

I am considering a nikon monarch in 2.5X10 (42MM)
Refurb trijicon ACOG
Zeiss in 4X9 (40mm)
Refurb Leupold 3X9

I would like to remove as many of these vermin as possible. I plan to sit and wait for them to come to me....not make my way down the creek hunting them.

Players change. Expectations never do.

We have Eotech 552's on all of our AR15's and they work great for hogs, especially around 50 to 75 yards. The Eotech 512 is nearly the same and a little cheaper.

I wouldn't spend a bunch of money for hogs unless you just want high-end optics. I bought a Pentax Lightseeker 0x-4x scope for my PC4 that works like a champ. It's a scope made specifically for the NWTF competition one year (don't remember which) so it's long eye relief but I usually shoot it on zero power. It just gives a good aiming point for old eyes.

Practice doesn’t make perfect.
Practice makes permanent.
