I figure its about time to start practicing calling again...

Are there any duck calling instructional DVDs that teach multiple species calls? I've seen a lot of footage for mallard hen and drake, pintail whistling, teal, and wigeon. I was wondering if there is anything on gadwall and wood ducks.

Seen anything good lately?

Gadwalls are easy to call, so I you wouldn't have to dedicate much time to instruction. Their only real vocalization is that stunted quack, and with a Duck Commander gadwall call it is very easy to make. You can also do it with a single reed mallard call by simply throwing a lot of backpressure on the call and shortening a regular quack using a little less air than you would for a mallard quack.

Wood duck calling is a different issue. You'll have to get over a lot of mouth breathing in this video, but this is some great work on a wood duck call:

You can get a ton of help at www.callingducks.com . There, you can find instruction, audio of live birds, sound files for different calls, calling sequences and calling routines, with a lot of video, too. It's a very good site. RNT also has a very good instructional CD that you can get HERE.

For goose calling, I really like the Bad Grammer series with Scott Threinen. Comes in both CD and DVD flavors.

This is the one I got (see link below), and pretty much includes all species. In addition to mallard hen, I got a teal/wigeon/pintail call, a gadwall call and a teal hen call.
