Where do you guys get your 9mm and .45 FMJ bullets in bulk? I have been looking and it seems a lot of places are out of stock.

I looked into the copper washed, or plated ones, and don't think that is a good idea for me as I shoot mostly Glocks.

We've been out down around Austin for a while. Seems you can order in bulk and wait for them to ship (6-8 weeks out), or you can try and buddy up the guys at your ammo store. The Academy close to me gets shipments 3 times a week. They'll hold a couple of boxes if they have them in stock when I call. They usually only have around 10 boxes per shipment (if any!!).

Good luck!

would you say they are about the same as FMJ? Is the prive considerably lower? Where do you buy? I might have to get some and see how I like them.

Try Zero Bullets. Nice FMJ's for less than Berry's plated. I believe you have to buy in quantities of 1000.

Copper wash/plated won't hurt a glock. A decent plating will be thick enough to prevent any lead from being deposited in the barrel.

HOLD ON THERE BUDDY!!!!

I forgot and correct me if im wrong but dont glocks have an UNSUPORTED CHAMBER??? meaning that reloads are not to be fired in them because the case can rupture and blow into the magazine.

Then theres the whole cant fire lead bullets through them because of the rifling or some thing right?

You know how we men are bad about not reading directions. About fifteen + years ago I had a Glock 21. I shot hundreds of lead semi-wadcutters through it. I cleaned it often and never new that I wasn't supposed to run lead through it. When I sold it I guess it was as accurate as the day I bought it.

I will say that they were some really extra hard type of cast bullets. To illustrate how hard these bullets were my son shot some old reloads of the same brand bullets through our 44 last week at a can on the ground. These loads were pretty light reloads, about like 44 special. My wife's dad dug up one of the bullets and it probably could have been reused.

What is the difference between a reload and a factory load?

Nearly every handgun on the market says not to shoot reloads in the manual. Putting that sentence in there absolves them of liability...

I've run about a buzillion rounds of 9 mil and 40 S&W through Glocks and haven't blown one up yet. Did have one go full auto once, but that got straightened out...

For component bullets, try Montana Gold.

Jacketed bullets, not plated.

Remanufactured Ammo:
The primer knocked out, primer pocket reamed ,chemical wash (not dawn soap) and cases with ringers kicked out. Dried, lubed, full lenght sized to factory specs. Loaded on the same machines as new components, reman eliminates no flash hole and new case failure.

Reload:
Tumbled with primer in place (flash hole and primer pocket still dirty)in a cob mixture, remove and size top end during loading and tumble again.

*** The post I made above is for "bullets" NOT ammunition.

THANKS!

ive order 10mm/40 and 9mm from www.montanagoldbullet.com and have had no issues with either one. the 40 were for a glock 22 that was happy to shoot them, and the 9 was for a 19 and an FNP9 that shot them just fine.
