There have been a bunch of posts on rut activity this year, and a bunch of different answers...I know how Webster defines peak, but for the new forum searchers, how do we define "The Peak of The Rut?" stir

If you can have your windows down, radio blaring, and you can knock the antlers together and bucks come running.

Peak of the rut would be when most of the does are cycling and the bucks are rutting. It's an awesome time to be in the woods. The breeding cycle goes on for months though. The mature does first, the lesser does and then finally those young yearling does that mature later in the winter and cycle.

Be kind with your words, thankful to your Creator and generous with the meat from your hunt.

OK, I can live with that, but most "experts" break it down into three phases.
1. Pre Rut
2. Peak Rut
3. Post Rut
Which one do ya'll spend the most time hunting? coffee

The peak of the rut is when the rut is at its most active point throughout your deer herd! roflmao
