Anyone hunted any fields around there this week? Public or private? I'm considering running up there this afternoon if I get off early.
Did anyone ever do that DFW Hunt package this season? Any reports?

DFW Hunt package? What is this you speak of?? I went up there for the opening weekend of dove and killed a few but nothing special but we all know that holds no water now considering the frequent movement. Good luck to ya though.

I did the DFW hunt thing... kinda wish I hadn't...There's quite a few places to hunt but lots of the fields have nothing to attract birds. We mostly hunt out near Carbon (south of Eastland) opening day was pretty good. Had one other day out there that was good.
Went to the north fields 4 or 5 times and haven't had much luck at all up there.

www.dfwhunt.comI considered it, but it sounded like the APH permit for an extra $150. That's too bad. I'll let you guys know if I get into anything today.

I live in Krum and have not seen any dove to speak of... except the ones that stay inside the city limits.

Well I have been up there a few times but not since all of the weather the last week or so, and there are a few spots that have been pretty good, but you have to hunt, there isn't a good fly zone area up there. Out near Carbon has been pretty good too, I'm considering going back out Sunday but I am afraid all of this rain may have ran all of the birds out of here!

Went to that area, and Gainesville area as well last season. Saw nothing. No food or ponds for the birds. Wasn't worth the time in my opinion.
