Safety harness is with out a doubt the most important piece of equipment you have when hunting a tree stand. I let my step son a few years back hang a stand for me. Was sitting in it a few mintues wiglin' around trying to get comfortable and the dang thing fell out from underneath me. I HAD A HARNESS ON and can honestly say it saved my arse.

hunter safety system is the only way to go
If we aren't supposed to eat the animals, then why did God make them out of meat?

i think i might go ahead and buy a HSS, just to feel safer in the stand. We never use them and I know thats not smart but just never did...the old ones were so darn hard to put on that we would mount them and never use them.
HS makes it easy and worth it...especially when i doze off now and then...

Not trying to de-rail, but while we're on the topic, y'all be sure and read the paperwork that comes with your safety harnesses. Some harnesses, especially the ones that come with stands, are "single arrest" systems, meant to perform one full arrest and be replaced, because all the important parts are compromised.
