Not a single deer out of the blind, I think the full moon got the best of us on our place.

Saw several small doe, couple of small bucks, one spike I could have taken but passed.

My son did take a nice doe.

One of my buddies on the lease got a barely wide enough 7 point. His first buck with a bow. Made a good shot, only went 70 yards or so. Congratulations Ralph!

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

Shot a doe Saturday morning. Had 7 deer within 20 yards that morning and drew back twice before I got a shot at the last group that went through. When I was cleaning it I sliced my finger open and had to get 5 stitches so that ended my hunting for the weekend.

moon, rain, and fresh acorns made it a slow opener for me. even my trail cam pics have slowed down the last few weeks.

Brisco County near Quitaque, up in the Caprock Canyon breaks. Rough country, but what a thrill this was.

Saw eight deer Saturday morning and I took a big mature doe, and then Saturday evening saw eight more, and one was a long horned spike which I let walk, and then the rain hit just about dark and soaked me to the core, but all in all, it was a very good day.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
