This is the first time I have been able to bowhunt in almost 3 years (my son turned 3 in september...you get the idea) so I am a little rusty getting back into bowhunting again...with that said...here was my tradgedy of today!!!

so tonight it was sprinkling when I walked back into the woods...after about 30-45 minutes a big fat doe came walking in at around 30 yards...I got to full draw and stopped her with a ("MERRRMM") set the pin behind her front shoulder and let the arrow fly...she ducked the arrow...I was left scratching my head until I went and picked my arrow up...it smelled just like the little pine branch that it hit on the way towards her direction...DOOOOOHHHHH...I should have been more sure of the obstructions in between me and her!!!

Like I said I am a little rusty...all in all I had a great day. I love that adrenaline heart pumping I get when ANY deer just walks close towards my direction, and it was great to get out and realize that I had missed bowhunting more than I had originally thought...just thought I would share my mishap with the world!!! Oh well, in my dreams tonight I will be shooting straight on...the doe will be a huge buck... and there will be only limbless trees!!!
