Forget that .357 sig nonsense. Go for the full 10mm auto. I believe the sig only got up into the 600ft lb range in the few loads available. Where you can get to 800 ft lbs with the 10mm which is right where .357 mag typically can get safely. So you can start bear hunting with your glock instead of worrying about people protection.

The frame is a bit larger but they now have the slim frame model so you could find one that fits you.

Yep, the 9mm 147+P and +P+ will do just about the same thing as the 357 Sig. They're hard to get rounds commercially, however. I agree with you about the 9mm. There's not a lot of difference in overall stopping power between the 9mm and other rounds, only a few percentage points.
