Came across these the other day. From a salmon fishing trip on the Katalla river near Cordova Alaska. It was decided he could fish any where he wanted too.

You'll notice a rod and reel at the bottom of the first picture.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I fished on Montana creek north of Anchorage and when you caught a salmon and pitched it up on the bank you had to be careful that a Black Bear didn't catch it, they were like what coons are down here, a dang nuisance.

i miss my furry fishing buddies up there in alaska, they were entertaining, but just gotta stay aware of your surroundings.

Fishing on Cowee Creek near Juneau in '03 I stepped away from the creek and took one step into the bushes to take a leak and looked down and saw a track the size of a big salad plate. Decided to take a step back and just relieve myself on the gravel.

Thanks for the memories! Montana Creek, the Little Su, Willow, Upper Russian, most anywhere on the Kenai... Nothing like a steaming pile of bear poop to distract your attention from the salmon.
