Being 5' 6" blows! Bought some waders today at Cabela's but talk about being bunched at the knees...and they were ALL like that. Oh well.

Try being 6'5 and skinny, if I do find a pair of waders that are long enough they are typically big enough for a family of 4.

if I was a wader manufacturer I would be worried about being named in the lawsuit when a short man drowned in a rice field.

Mack's Prairie Wings has a house brand wader called the Big Ditch that fits short guys. I'm the same size as you, cbump. I wear a size 8.

Being a shorter guy (5'9") that isn't funny

6'-2" 341 pounds--- believe me you don't have wader troubles like I had. Fortunately I am 305 pounds and counting down. Maybe this year I won't feel like I am stuffed in a sausage casing.

Buy you some Lacrosse Alpha's, you won"t care how bunched they are, they are cut right and they are comfortable.

I already went with the Cabelas Light Mags. I like them. Used them on a teal hunt this am. Saw no teal though. Had 4 egrets land in my spread though....

I'm 5'6" too. My waders bunch around the ankles. The crotch sags too. Just leaves more room for the boys to breathe.

My feets get cold because I buy the biggest Hodgeman stocking foots I can find, you could fit 5 of me in there but it's better having my feet crammed into one size too small instead of 4 sizes too small.

Reminds me of the last time I went wade fishing. Sisters new boyfriend was going. He asked "how deep do you wade". "About chest deep" I responded. He said "chest deep on you guys and I will need a snorkle".

My father in law is a salty ol' dog from Galveston and used to wade in the bay a lot. Other guys would come out after him as ask him how the walk out was.

"No problem, come on out." Half way there they were swimming and never found bottom - he's 6'9".

I'm 6'4" and chest waders are really upper stomach waders...

Cause if you're in knee-deep water and step in a cow track, you'll drown.
