Picked one up just in passing a while back at a gun show and really liked the look and feel. Reminds me a lot of the Smith wheel guns at least in looks....but what about performance? They sure seem a good buy for sub $300 and I've heard they now are being manufactured (at least by contract) by Taurus and therefore carry the Taurus lifetime warranty, which adds to the value.

Anyone have any experience with these? Good value or get what you pay for?

Rossi .357 at Academy

I love my Rossi! I have the 972 in .357mag. One tip, tighten the frame screws every now and then. I didnt do this and lost one that caused the cylinder to fall out while reloading, but Rossi has pretty good customer service and I got one ordered. This pistol may not be the tightest revolver but it sure is a hecka lotta fun. Also, get a good set of grips for it. Makes it look like a new pistol but they're hard to find.

Don't waste your money. Save up and buy a Ruger or S&W.

I only sent back 2 out of 3 I sold in 3 weeks. The firing pins are poorly designed and weak.

If you look at them, some of them are just old Taurus designs and will have Taurus proofmarks.
