I know the rut traditionaly starts around the first week of November, but that was in clay county. Im hunting in Comanche couny this year as well as Clay county. Are there any predictions of the rut starting at a different time? This is my first year to hunt with a bow, and don't want to miss an opportunity to shoot a great deer. Have seen a few already. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks!

if i could predict the rut id be rich! last year in bell co. i saw signs of deer pre rutting and tuning up around mid-late october. But, a serious heave chasing and fighting rut was truly non-existent until mid december..in fact i hardly saw any serious rutting action from a deer stand. i got most of my evidence after hours on game cam.
hopefully this year will be a little more text book!
