I purchased some new arrows easton epic 400's had them fletched with 4 inch vanes on a right helical.

Some of the vanes are comeing off after hitting the target.

I am seriously thinking about going to the 2" blazers.

I use a drop away rest and i am wondering why the fletchings are comeing off?

Also I noticed when I draw the arrow dragging across the rest is makeing noise is there something I can place on the rest to eliminate that and not mess up my shot?

Sounds like shafts were not properly cleanend. Alchohol, light steel wool, alchohol. Some say acetone, but caution is advised - a quick swipe only.
I use moleskin all around my rest and sight window.

Diddo, on the advise. I will second it on the 2" blazers.

I had the problem twice.
once, was when I had a wisker bisquit which quickly came off and got replaced by a N.A.P. drop-away. The second time was when I bought my Hoyt from this place in Kaufman(don't remember the name of the store anymore). I bought some Easton shafts and the guy there used some bad glue or something because I had vanes flying completely off before the arrow hit the target. I even gave more than enough time for the glue to dry and set. The owner did not stand behind his work and I wound up having to scrap those vanes, hence the fact that I can't even remember the name of the store.

For what ever the reason this might be happening to you, I've always had very good experiences at Gander Mountain in Corsicana, if you live anywhere near by. They do excellent work.

I just got the blazers and love them... they shoot as tight or tighter than the quickspins I had before.

Blazers Here!! But add some glue at the front and back of each vain. I bet they dabbed the glue off the vains on peice of paper before the put them on.

could also be they put to much helical on them. We tried this and when the arrow hit the target the vanes shot off like artillery shells on the forth of july. Could be the glue to though.
