My wife got a beast. She had three meals off it. I've had one and will easily get two more. Best $4.88 ever spent. It was the size of a small Turkey.

How does it compare to the gold standard -- the Costco chicken?

I have an electric rotisserie for my Webber grill. I'll buy one of those beast sized roasting hens, brine it, throw it on.............one meal of chicken, a meal or two of taco salad, and a pot of chicken taco soup.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

I would opine that costco isn't the gold standard.

My retirered neighbor did some catering to get by. He would buy the Sam's chickens and throw them in the smoker for a while. He said folks loved loved it and always said it was the best smoked chicken they ever had.
I need to try one next visit to Sam's.

Sam's is the gold standard. It's 12-16oz larger than anybody else's and the cheapest. I buy two whenever I'm buying. Debone one for later and make 4-6 servings off the first.

I'll have to do a side-by-side taste test sometime: Sam's vs. Costco. Flavor and moist tenderness count first in my book, then size per bird.
That's a great idea to throw one on the Traeger for a few for a smoke boost.

Love my Weber rotisserie. Chicken, turkey, picanha, bone in pork roast etc.

I've had a George Foreman rotisserie since it first came out, but for many many years now, it's been cheaper to just buy them. It made a great bird, but cleanup was a blich.

We get one every week or two (Costco), and I use the carcass to make chicken stock in the instant pot.
