My 6” rain gauge is overflowing and so is my pond. Hopefully my catfish know how good they’ve got it and don’t leave. This is the water running out of it. A lot of the roads are closed too.

Just under an inch and a half in Sweetwater last night. Nothing compared to what so many Texans are dealing with, but it was welcome.

We got 2" here on the S/E corner of Cedar Creek Lake last night. This brings the ten-day total to 2.5". All of the severe stuff seems to just barely miss us.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

It has only been nasty and muggy here (Helotes), less than 1/4" in the last week. They have been pushing the chances of rain out further

Neighbor said their place just west of Cranfills Gap got 7.7" from this last rain and there are a lot of fences washed out. Might be some exotics and trophy Whitetails on the loose in some areas.
Wonder what the rivers and spillways look like?

Hearing lots of thunder from storms 25 miles south of us. Training west to east right along I-10.

I’ve been away from home & Texas since beginning of April ( in East Coast).
Neighbors up the road say they can’t even see our house anymore from gate thru the front hayfield eek2

Highway 36 and highway 183 flooded at Rising Star

https://www.bigcountryhomepage.com/news/flooding-in-rising-star-highways-183-36-unsafe-to-drive-on/

About 8:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, the National Weather Service office in San Angelo said it received a report that portions of northeastern Concho County were seeing hail upwards of 3 feet deep covering some roadways. These roads had to be closed after becoming impassable from the hail

Still dry here save for a heavy drizzle the past few days. Need a good turd floater in central and south Texas

That would be my area. 90 miles NE of Htown. Probably 30"+ last month. 2 8"-11" rains. Several others between 5"and 6". Roads closed for days. We flew in after 10 days in Canada to a real mess here. US59/I-69 closed near Cleveland, made my early Friday AM drive back home 3 hours instead of 90 minutes from IAH. Guess we can say the drought of 2023 is over here in SE Tx.
