I don't post on here much because I really haven't been hunting in a couple years. I spent a few years on a deer lease in Hondo, TX hunting whitetail and hogs.

I've been shooting skeet occassionally (once a month or so) for the last couple years.

This past weekend I went on my 1st bird hunt. We went dove hunting in what I was told was the special white-wing zone in the Uvalde area. WOW...that was AWESOME!! I'm hooked.

I didn't do so great (hit 5 or 6) but the action was awesome. I liked the style of hunting - 5-10 guys scattered in an area all talking trash, taking shots, and just generally having a heck of a time. Our group of 7 hunters took home 5 limits, so I feel like it was a successful hunt.

Hope I have many more reports and discussions to have with you guys. I'm sure I'll be back out in the field in the next couple weeks popping off some shots.

Thanks. I'm talking to a guy (guide) in Alvin about a Danburry hunt this friday for $50.

I hope I get to go and I'm looking forward to hunting at least every other week...if not more.
