Been asked why am I selling…. Because I’ve got a .404 on the way and a .470ne so I’m thinning the herd.

Like mine, this is one of the originals before they moved the front sling swivel out onto the barrel. And if this one shoots like mine off the bench, it shoots tiny little groups.

This is a reliable, controlled round feed action that, coupled with the .416 Rigby cartridge, will do anything that needs doing… and do it without brutalizing the shooter in the process.

That is a beautiful rifle, don't see too many in that pristine condition anymore.

Thanks for the kind words, these RSM rifles were a pet project of Bill Ruger who personally oversaw the production.

They are a true Magnum length action and Ruger is said to have lost money making them that the joke was….

“Bill stuffs $1,000 cash down the barrel before we ship each one out!”

Yep these were the rifles that got Federal & Hornady to start manufacturing some of the old British cartridges again.

Collector, not many .416 Rigbys were made GLWS, love mine, can load them down a bit w polyfil and it is much nicer to shoot yet still has all the power needed
