We are going to the Texas vs Michigan game I'm September. Anybody familiar with the area? The basics, where to stay, where to eat, and where to stay away from.

Stay away from all of it. No game is worth that circus.

I will give you a preview of the game…go to your bathroom, take a massive dump, leave it there to fester for a day, and that is what AA is like….stay as far away from that outhouse they call a football field as you can. flush

If you must go up that way, stay in toledo, specifically maumee or bowling green, and watch the game from an Ohio bar. Its a much better state and will have a much better atmosphere.

Spent a summer in Ann Arbor. The ladies were friendly and not used to the charms of a southerner. Only time in my life I was called Tex. Lots of Bob Seger fans, lots. I bet Dooleys is still open.

would be more fun and a lot safer watching on tv.

been in that area many times, way too many places in detroit/AA you really don't want to be.

used to deliver auto parts to the big 3, 2 of the warehouses you were told to just back in, let them unload, stay in truck due to safety concerns. this was back in the early to mid 2000s, got to be worse now with all the mooselums.

Detroit and Ann Arbor different, but you won’t be able to stay in Ann Arbor or Ypsilanti for that matter.

Zingermans Deli is overrated, we went there a handful of years ago on a random Saturday, waited because it’s the best in the nation.

Parking in that area sucks, get there early, when I went up in 2022 for a game we paid to park in someone’s driveway. Don’t be in a rush to get out of there after the game.

AA is booked! We'll probably be staying outside of there somewhere. Don't want to stay in Detroit.

Sounds like a cool trip and venue.

I think Ann Arbor is gonna be tough for a hotel.

The texas longhorn will be able to graze on the field with the UM cheerleaders.

Also, they have a history of cheating so make sure the first couple texas games dont have tickets bought for by a guy named stallions.

Finally, be careful you don’t go down the drain with the rest of the turds up in AA when they flush that big toilet bowl they call a stadium. Its a crap show at best bs

Once ur boy’s scheme was unveiled, he ran as fast as he could to the NfL and left the entire program in shambles. They are gonna get ripped apart by the NCAA for the cheating scandal. They got hit pretty decent for a “hamburger during covid” so just wait….the reckoning is happening.

It makes me smile knowing it was OSU and the whole state of Ohio that drove hairball to cheat and cheat badly.

I don’t know that he left it in shambles. Michigan had 13 players drafted and that will take some rebuilding. I doubt much is done with the cheating.

I think Harbaugh accomplished his goal, bring a championship to Michigan and always had plans to return to NFL. I do think he’s pretty odd.

I think if Ryan Day loses this year to Michigan, he may be out of a job.

I try to steer clear of subjects which I can’t think clearly about.

Just wait. This is going to go the same as the Colorado homers saying the buffs were gona. Be bowl eligible this past season….many said just wait. Sure enough, nope.

Yeah, i can think plenty clearly about this issue, even if i like to rub some around here about it. I do beloeve once the punishments are levied, Harbaugh will never be able to coach in the collegiate level again, UM will have to vacate their trophy, and wins for three seasons. If the NCAA is light about itt, i wont lose sleep, i just like to antagonize those who might be fNs of a team that deserves little of what they gained these last few years.

In my mind, UM fans are a delusional about the cheating thing as biden fans are about the economy….just wait the truth is out there plain to see, just have to want to see it.

Academically, Michigan is one hell of a school ain't no two ways about it.

Should be a pretty cool experience, everything is locked in but the tickets.

Having been to Columbus for Texas/tOSU in 2005 and then again for work a few years later, I can confidently say the people there are terrible, the worst fan base I ever encountered (not just at the game either). The restaurants are lousy and the tailgating was meh. I've read/heard great things about Ann Arbor, can't ever recall an impartial person saying anything positive about Columbus.

The wife was at the game when Ohio st came down to Austin in the mid 2000s and she says the same thing. The absolute worst fan base period.
