In hunting, life, dating or whatever?

Not having a 3rd kid.

Not accepting a position with THE COMPANY after my military service. Was probably a big mistake.

Not finishing college.

Can't type it out, don't want to cry tonight.

Not refusing to move out. I shoulda been tough enough to stick it out in the living room, for the sake of the two little girIs. I'd done nothing wrong. But...hindsight's 20/20. However, I wouldn't have found the most loving woman I've ever witnessed.

A distant #2 is quitting piano.

Not spending more time with my Dad, being a pain for him when I was a juvenile.

As much i over share i will spare ya’ll this much. Although over share is up there on my list.

But over the past year? Mostly i wish i would have hunted more and hunted harder.

Too much pride, family squabbles and lost relationships.

Saying I do, there I said it.

You guys are great.

I have none. If you can have that mindset, it’s called peace of mind.

Ok ok, wish I would have bought Amazon stock, google etc but I am happy with life decisions overall.

Not spending more time with my dad before he passed.

Saying no when I should've said yes.

I have a lot of regrets, but what you say makes me realize that dwelling on regrets is pointless. You can’t go back. You can only go forward and try to do better.

Allowing myself to get addicted to alcohol at my age. Got deep in to prayer Wednesday before my wife got home from work and God spoke to me and said it’s time to time to talk about my alcohol addiction. Was like water works telling her and my family. Currently over 48 hours sober and I plan to stay like that the rest of my life. It was like a million pounds being lifted off my chest. I’m thankful to have a great group of friends and family who are praying for me right now.

Honestly, I can’t say I have any major regrets. If I could go back, I could say I would have acted better, done this or that differently but it’s mostly all surface level stuff. Changing anything of any consequence would likely have altered the trajectory of my life and I’m not sure I would want that. Changing smaller things would likely cost me the wisdom I earned by all those Mis-steps, missed opportunities and mis-adventures.

Looking back on life with regret is a zero sum game that is only going to bring you down.

Getting married twice

Married once and don't regret it, twice I would. Have four kids so it's not that. Selling my Chevelle? It was in the way and I didn't have the money to fix it. I do now but it's gone.

I have the VIN memorized if anyone wants to help me find it. I still have that floor jack and plastic crate. Pic was taken at Kennedale in about 1994.

Not buying some land in the northern part of the Cross Timbers region back in the 80's and 90's when I had enough money and land was cheap!

You posting all the selfies asking for help with beard styles comes to mind.

Closest to a regret I have is selling several pistols when I needed cash in college almost 35 years ago. When I was stationed in Germany I bought several at the Hanau Rod and Gun Club.

Easy for me, getting married. When you’re young no one can tell you anything you’ll listen to . I’ve been married to the same woman for 26 years yet it’s still my biggest regret. Second, getting out of the USAF after only 4 years
