I like AJ`s better. We played a game when I was 18 or 19 with that song. You had to down a beer every time it said pop a top. It was ugly  after the 3rd or 4th pop a top and I never did it again.

Those that dont like either must not of grown up in the 60s in a small Hill Country town where driving the back roads popping many tops was about the only thing to do. I really like Alan Jackson and his version is good. However, with my fore mentioned history, I gotta go with the one that brings back those good times.
With any of these "who did it better" threads it probably comes down to the one you grew up with.
At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR

One of the GREATEST songs ever. back in the 70's/80's it was a favorite of us beer drinkers and boot scooters. "Set em Up My Friend" Voted for Alan but I love JEB's version as well.
