Time to let go of my 1978 Ford F-150 custom with a built 460 big block .


Dove heads 220 valves ported polished studded to 7/16 low profile roller rockers
I can't remember the piston bore size but it's 466 Cid
I think it's. 30 over.
Lunati voodoo cam
Lunati valve springs and timing chain
Ford hi volume oil pump
Melidon deep oil pan
High flow aluminum water pump
All new factory air converted to R-134 A
Edelbrock 7166 duel plain intake,
Motor and transmission have around 1500 miles on them since rebuilt. All new glass and seals , carpet and headliner.
Transmission
Hughes 2500 stall converter
Kevlar clutches
And bands
Deep trans pan and Transmission cooler
New breaks,
Headers and 3” duel pipes,


Truck still has loose ends to be completed, fuel gauge not working but has fresh tank and new sending unit, horns not hooked up

78 & 79 were the best looking trucks ford ever built! Good luck with the sale!! If it was only 4x4…….

Very nicely done! I so want to get on my 79' F-250 project.

Yours is wearing 79' head lights and pans. 78' had round lights.

Correct. That trim level (Custom) from the factory should have had round headlights. 'Ranger' and above trim levels would have gotten square lights.

But that is not to say a Custom couldn't have slipped out with square headlights IF the factory had run out of round ones, it happens.
