I took the wife to get fitted for a putter yesterday. She was playing a toe hang Scotty blade putter that was gifted to her by a buddy, so we just made it work. We cut it down and gripped it for her so there wasn't much science behind it. Her miss was right and when we went to the fitting the fitter saw the same thing, so he gave her some mallets to try out. It came down to a spider like the one Scheffler started using, and an Evnroll EV12. I thought she would go with the Spider like Scheffler, but the went with the EV12 because she was absolutely stroking it from 20 feet out. This should help us on scramble night. The science behind club fitting is amazing.

Saturday monthly men's league postponed due to rain. Hope course will play today.

Got in a round yesterday before the rains, small course at Brookhaven CC, Presidents Course (5000 yds), shot 2 over.

Well hell the wife took me down today! I took a lesson right before the round and my god I couldn't stop topping the ball, and on top of that she played good golf.

Last Saturday's league tournament was moved to today due to rain. Shotgun start at 13:00.

Gainesville Municipal. Not sure if it's open to everyone or not. I was invited by the then head pro. Guessing they needed an average worse than scratch player.

Two laps around the muni Saturday, one scheduled for late afternoon today, and I'm playing somewhere Monday, not sure where. Kid #3 has his driving test in the morning, lunch with my wife for her birthday, then golf.

I played 14 holes at the Plantation in Frisco on Wednesday, it was the first round of golf I have played in a very long time. Tried out my new to me sticks, Callaway Steelhead irons with Graphite shaft and Callaway XR Driver and woods.

Crazy and wonderful thing occurred. When I got to the first tee, I was the only one on the hole, went to no. 2 and there was a group of 6 guys on the tee box having a good time, they let me play through, did not see another golfer until # 9 and they moved on as son as I got to the tee box, So I basically had the front 9 to myself which allowed me to play at my leisure and hit quite a few extra shots when I felt like it.

Back 9 totally different story, drove through the first four holes for they were backed up, teed off on 14 and smooth sailing from there on.
Did not keep score but for not playing in quite a while and only hitting about 20 balls with my old stick at a driving range 4 months ago, I hit the ball decent.

Course was in very good shape except for the remodeling of the club house.

Need another lesson and get back in the saddle.

Yeah, we walked it because it's a muni that doesn't have carts, and SA isn't the most healthiest of towns so it's usually wide open. I got back into the mid 80s for the first time in a while. Her goal was to break 100, and mine to break 90, mission accomplished.

She's a little thing, 5 ft nothing 115 pounds, but man she loves to hit driver. She hits it 200 225 straight, we were on a dog leg left I had already teed off and was making my way to my ball when she rips a fade around the trees right down the fairway like a plane coming in for a landing. When we got to the green I asked her if she tried to work the ball on that shot and she said yes...... she is gonna be a good player.

I'm going next month to get my bag fitted. I will probably get a new driver, irons and putter.

Hackberry CC tomorrow morning with my two younger brothers, Brian aka Sloppy and John aka Johnny 5. Time for some brotherly Luvvvv....
