Great story, nice knifes and awesome riffle. I believe as you alluded to the 405 was maybe Teddy's favorite safari caliber.

Great story, nice knifes and awesome riffle. I believe as you alluded to the 405 was maybe Teddy's favorite safari caliber. Very fine rifles sir, think you made the perfect choice with the double. I was curious and checked the web. there seems to be a fair amount of 405 Winchester ammunition around still. Believe Starline also makes brass for it.

Winchester 1895, 405 Winchester ya! GWB That Ruger does it for me. Beautiful. Only lever i have is a JM marlin stamped 45-70 guide gun. Not in your league but nice none the less.
