Dallas Stars clinched the number one seed in the Western Conference tonight. Peeking and getting healthy at the right time.. bring on the Stanley Cop playoff’s!

Last night's game, the "last" game, was frustrating. In OT, power play, they just passed and skated, NO shooting, but regardless, they won in the shootout.
The Stars are deep, both offensively and defensively. I'm hoping for good things.
Go Dallas!

I agree with you, but they didn't need to press in OT. They already secured a point just by getting into OT, thus clinching the #1 overall seed in the West.

I'm sick of Vegas.
I hope Dallas plays the LA Kings in the first round.

Regardless, they have to figure out a way to beat Vegas...might be better off facing them first (hope for Stone to be a little rusty) and seeing how they stack up. Ott is on fire and even getting lucky breaks (got 2 last nite)...never know how long that's going to last, those guys are mental!!!

I had no idea. Not anything Ive ever wondered about. Are there any colleges in Texas that have a hockey team? By the way, Im not trying to put down hockey. Its just not anything I have an interest in.

Its just not anything I have an interest in. I played club hockey at A&M when I was there and we had one or two guys who had D1 offers and many others who could have played D3 but chose to go to a big university instead. We would laugh at our buddies playing at a small D1 or D3 school where they wouldn't get fans while we played in front of a near-capacity rink most home games... and while the hockey could be lackluster, I would argue that our rookie party rivaled those of any major junior or NCAA program and road trips/beers with the boys is what hockey is all about from about the 10th grade of high school on.

First few game times have been released. All are late at night, completely catering to West Coast viewers at the expense of the rest of the country.

It's idiotic the Stars and Rangers are in the west and the Cowboys are in the east when we're actually in the Central. But the Stars are in the Central division of the West Conference. Makes the most sense. NBA doesn't have a Central but the NFL and MLB do.
Anyway ... it's always been this way for DFW teams other than the Cowboys. The Rangers have to make it to the ALCS to get prime time games and that's because they're one of the only teams left.
Pass the gravy.
