I've literally sat on the balcony of an apartment in Israel drinking beer and watched our "Iron Dome" in action shooting down missiles near the Gaza border at night the last big go' round. It's a very impressive system and fun to watch it in action. Those "thuds" and lights from the sky is kinda like a fireworks show, but not really....

I was only working in Israel for 3 months but got to travel all over the country and got to meet a lot of good folks, many young soldiers carrying weapons that just couldn't believe that I and my fellow Texans had those guns and more in our homes and vehicles. I was told by my employer to remove the Texas and American Flag patches from the left arm of my shirt to avoid any possible physical attacks or drama, I refused to do so. Most Israelis love America and especially Texas.

I was not always a man of faith. Most of my life I struggled with the notion that literally anybody can be forgiven for any sin by taking Jesus. I struggled back and forth with agnostic and atheist views, and I honestly believed all Christians had blinders on or were just downright deceitful non-believers.

Today? You gotta have blinders on if you can’t see we are living in Revelation. Bad is good, good is bad and right is wrong, wrong is right. The antichrist is coming as a messenger of light to condemn us all for calling people by their God given gender and pronouns. For expecting people to work for what they have. For using force if necessary to protect and defend the innocent. For refusing to negotiate with terrorists. For marrying the opposite sex and having and raising children, even for eating the natural food God provides for us. Animal life is already of higher value than human life to many. We are well on our way.

Some things I have learned:

One, only God can judge a heart, and many who profess Christianity are liars.

Two, accepting Jesus and repenting saves you from hell, but we are all still going to be judged. Even for every stray word out of our mouths. So there is going to be some time of penance and repercussions before you receive the rest of eternity in paradise. Eternity is a long time, you will still be judged and suffer a penance of some sort and so will everybody else.

Three, if you can’t forgive you can’t be forgiven. That does not mean you play the fool and let others take advantage of you. The book of Proverbs pretty much tells us, don’t be stupid and don’t let people take advantage of you. You gotta forgive but that don’t mean you can’t sever ties. Sometimes you must to protect your finances and your family.

Four, God does not want you to be a coward. You are supposed to turn the other cheek but there are some instances God expects you to fight. I know this because in the Bible it tells us to protect and defend the innocent, the weak, the ones that can’t protect themselves, more than 100 times.

If you are prepping for future disaster but you are not preparing your soul and your family for judgement with the Gospel, it’s pointless. Eternity is a long time, what do I have to lose if I am wrong?

Get right with God and take Jesus, turn away from your sin! You don’t have to be perfect.

And when i say that ^ i am literally waiting to wake up from something like a 13 year coma, and it was all a dream. This world today feels like an episode of the twilight zone. Revelation in the bible is the only thing that makes any sense of it.

Priests in England during the Viking invasions believed they were living in the chapter of Revelation. If you are a good Christian just stay prayed up and not worry, enjoy life.
