Quick trip to the top of Texas, layover in Shamrock tonight. Good little steakhouse downtown on 83. I had a good filet, ate at the bar. Not that crowded, and the bar was well stocked. 4 different varieties of Elijah Craig!
Took a little sight seeing detour on way back to motel.

Funny thing, there were a half dozen Tesla charging stations around the back.

What was the name of the steakhouse? I hunt south of Shamrock and am always looking for a good place to eat. Big Vern's Steakhouse closed down a couple of years which I really enjoyed. It was a great place to watch football on the big screen in the bar and eat a chicken fried chicken plate.

Metropole. On west side of street in downtown area. They have a big screen.

PSA- if traveling on HWY 83 in Stonewall county, be ready for at least 3 long waits due to road construction. Grrrrr.
