Does anyone have any experience with the dovetail mounts for a red dot? Reading that they can lose zero pretty easily over time. Would I be better off ditching the 48 and getting the 48MOS or do the dovetail mounts work ok?

This is your answer.

PSA Micro Dagger C-1 integrated comp into the slide, factory 15rd mags, has light rail, and factory milled for red dot. Also same footprint as G48 for holsters. All for around $370ish.

I would trade it for the MOs version

Put a whole lot of rounds through a g17 with a dovetail mount and never had any problems.

Its not the best option though.

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I didn’t realize the g48 holsters would work with these. I’ve been eyeballing the rock 5.7 for a month or two now, it’d be a good one to have on the ranch instead of lobbing mortars at coyotes on the run at 60-100 yds

Yes but to be clear they only fit holsters for G48 MOS models. But there are several holster makers out there that make specific holsters for the daggers now. I used Warhorse Holsters out of FL for mine.

Their new “PDW” in 5.7 they showed at shot show this year looks pretty cool, but I just can’t bring myself to pull trigger on 5.7 yet. Ammo is pretty expensive but PSA’s ammo plant is bringing it down by making their own.

I like the idea of 23+1 and being able to hit a 12” gong at 100 yards pretty consistently. These days my pistols get used to shoot snakes and varmints, don’t do much target stuff anymore

Have you looked at one of these(if it will fit your model)?
One of my Buddies bought one for his M&P .22 Mag and it wouldn't fit.
He gave it to me last week but alas, while I did mount it, I haven't taken it to the range yet.
