2” of rain in less than 30 min
Lots of lightning and several very close strikes.
Power is out to about 60 homes (according to Oncor)
One tree limb down. Since it’s the only thing in the yard, I am thinking the tree took a strike.
Luckily the hail stayed around pea to marble size

Another round is on the way.

I don’t want hail obviously but a couple of inches of hard rain would top off my pond. So far it’s all been north of me.

Haven’t been out to check rain gauge here in north east Grayson county, but WOW, the lightning shows before midnight and at 2:00 were impressive and some close hits. Will see if any damage after it gets daylight…..

No measurement officially but Cooke didn't get hit as hard as our neighbors to the south and east. We got several waves and they were kind of violent but didn't last long.

Pass the gravy.

We got 3” last night, and it’s raining hard right now, with more expected. We might wind up with an overall total of 6”. The pond overflow might even come into play, and it’s been a couple of years since the last time.

Our power was off until about 4:15 am ... according to a neighbor grin
2.4" total rainfall

This is the first storm that has ever freaked out my older Brittany. He was standing in the doorway with me when lightning struck the pole at the corner, the lights went out, and within a second, a big tree limb came down about 30' from the back door, It kind of freaked me out too. I hope storms dos not get to be a thing with him.

Susan gave me on of those personal weather stations for my birthday this years. It was a cool day for data: 50 mph gust, rainfall rate of 6 1/4" per hour, and a solar eclipse.

We are in Mountain Springs, Southern Cooke County just North of Ray Roberts and our area got hammered pretty good. Friends with trees down and others with broken windshields from the hail. All the rain is good though!

3 inches in Argyle. Shop flooded a bit. Wish we could get a couple weeks of sunshine to dry my place out.

That solar radiation chart is slick. Think I'd save that image.

A bit of hail and a lot a lightning here in Prosper.

Just emptied the rain gauge for the second time in 2 days. A grand total of 7-1/2" of rain and calling for another 1-1/2" tonight and Wednesday morning. Southwestern side of Harrison County, north of I-20 and the ponds, rivers and lakes are all into flood stage. Wish we could send some to the dry parts of Texas.
