Framber scratched from tonight's game. Stros have called up one of their prospects to start tonight.

Brutal first inning with this rookie pitcher. Please take him out. 5 runs and no outs. And another error on Abreau.

After 39 pitches and only one out, plus 5 runs they pull the rookie.

Interesting call bringing Henley up as he wasn't exactly dominating in the minors. Felt bad for the kid, though.

Still a chance to split the series. And I have a chance to draw a N.M. elk tag this year also....but I hate my odds lol. Astros got 2 runs in 1st game of this series late in game and needed an error by one of the best SS in baseball to get the 2 runs they got last night. Rangers in all likely hood take 3/4 but the odds of sweeping are FAR GREATER than the astros splitting this series. Its a yo yo with these 2 teams. Yu darvish once made Houston look like HS players, then they got built and made some noise. Now its the rangers turn again Looks like the odds of splitting the series WERE FAR GREATER than Rangers taking 3/4. Final score Astros 10-5.

Brutal first inning with this rookie pitcher. Please take him out. 5 runs and no outs. And another error on Abreau. Not sure why they brought him up. Maybe due to different rotation and days of rest of others. But he had a 5+ ERA in AAA and supposedly didn't do very good when he was in AA either. Hopefully they send him back down and can get some of his issues worked out.

After those first 2 games it was still the far favorite to take 3/4 but Houston balled out, especially after that first inning last night...good lord

The Royals at home tonight. I hope they left Jose Abreu in Arlington. He’s killing this Astros team.

I tell you…what’s happening to pitchers (aces) is pretty alarming. The Astros and Rangers have (if you count Valdez) 8 starters on IL.
Not to mention aces for Cleveland, Atlanta, Yankees and others out for the season, ot at least a good part of it.
Are pitchers becoming like running backs? Get ‘em, use ‘em up and get more? Problem is also the money being paid.
At some point fans aren’t going to be interested in a matchup of Andrew Heaney and Blair Henley….

My thought is starting kids too young. I have a nephew that didn’t make it to HS ball due to being pushed too hard, too young. Some young pitchers getting Tommy John surgery, not. Really needing it yet. And Verlander is just too old to be out there, in my opinion. But if someone offered me that kind of money, I’d take the money and try to pitch longer.

I thought they should have left him In Chicago last season. I think he only has a 2 year contract, hopefully he won’t be back next season. His batting average was .067 at the start of tonight’s game.not sure of how many errors he’s had. I’ve lost count.

Javier keeps looking at his hand. Maybe has a blister... He had 12 pitches per inning til the 5 th inning. Bats need to go to work.
