I was at work driving backroads when it manifested! Luckily I survived! Zero traffic whatsoever where I was…

I have pics from the ranch that was not in totality but temperature dropped 9 degrees.

Mocking birds got quiet and the sky turned grey-ish orange, photocell operated flood lights came on. We didn't quite get 100% coverage (too far north and west) but probably 95%. Bosses cooked out and everyone sat around in lawn chairs but I worked through it, stopping to look every few minutes.

I went outside with some coworkers about 5 minutes before the total eclipse and went back in and back to work after the total eclipse ended. Cool experience, but I was expecting it to get darker since we were in the path of totality

I'm glad I didn't travel a thousand miles to see it but it was a cool experience. I had my test subjects outside and observed their behavior. The fat one on the left growled once or twice. Nobody else really cared.
