We heard that these festival folks are charged again if they leave and come back in... not sure if it is true or not, but I'm sure if it is true, that is keeping many from leaving the ranches and coming into town. This would explain why we saw so much traffic coming in on Thursday and none now. I feel for all the local business owners who spent big bucks on all the hype and now will have to hope they can sell off all the extra products they ordered; at any rate we didn't get to the 100,000 extra folks that was forecasted.

I’m in Waco right now. If there’s gonna be any huge influx of eclipse people, I’m sure not seeing it. The wife, an eclipse mob believer, says that the people just aren’t here yet. They aren’t gonna be here. Roads are empty.

On an interesting side note - I heard an excellent sermon yesterday that pointed out, because of the Jewish lunar calendar, and Christ's crucifixion at Passover, there's no way the 3 hours that the Almighty darkened the sun was an eclipse. The moon was on the opposite side of the earth from the sun. He darkened the sun to point to the Son.

A good friend gave me this when I returned from AFG. The whiskey didn't last long, but the bottle ain't going anywhere.

Well that was pretty neat. I could view totality with the naked eye. Beautiful sight.

When it started getting dark, it got dark real fast. All the birds just stopped chirping and it was dead silence. One of my cats came out of the barn and was like what the heii is going on. Light returned us back to normal. Birds started singing again and God's great light shines upon us once again.
