In the last year or two there was a comment on ordering a capacitor for your home air conditioner being these things go out at the least favorable time. I have looked on Amazon and found one that appears to be correct for my unit. Mine has a number 27L601 on the front and Amazon has one they say fits 27L607BZ2, both440 vac. Would appreciate someone who know about these things giving your thoughts. Trying to save a dollar.
Thanks!

I buy them on eBay for 10-20 bucks. Just do a search for the number you posted.

Not an air conditioner but a pool pump. I found mine on Amazon for $12.
My botnet is bigger than yours.

The voltage rating is only half of the info you need the microfarad rating is very important may be listed as MFD or uF

As RayB said what is important is the MFD or uF the number you listed appears to be a part number for a certain manufacturer.

turn off power and verify with a volt meter it is off. short terminals of cap with insulated screw driver. remove wires from ,old cap, then cap and install new one . rewire accordingly. turn power back on and check for proper operation.

With a dual capacitor you will have three spots on top with the stake ons and below them on the top of the capacitor each spot will be marked one will have a C, then Herm., and last Fan. It will be easier to read on the new cap.than the old and it is very important that the wires go back in the same place. The easiest way to do this is to take a picture of the old cap. before you remove any wires.

If your last one was a 50+5 MFD and was the original capacitor that came with the unit that is what you need. Yes the uf is MFD.

If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Have (2) 4 Ton ac's here. 1 up , 1 down . 5 years old. New when House was built. One went down last Fall and watched Tech put a capacitor on it. $250 bucks for job. Capacitor free (Warranty) Labor cost. The other went down a month later. Went , after watching Guy put the Capacitor on the other one, and got one and replaced for $25 Bucks. Easy Peasy.
