Just watching the Armagedón Gear PRS championship. More than half of the finalist were shooting a .25 caliber round, most being the .25X47. Berger is making a couple match and hunting bullets for a fast twist .25 caliber rifle. The others were shooting 6.5 Creedmoor's and 6mm Dashers/Creedmoor's Time for y'all to swap barrels !!.

People get tired of shooting the same ole same ole...not quite as tired as you do of rifles...but you get it

I think a 25PRC would be cool and you can get Lapua 6.5 brass and a pretty simple neck down. I've never owned a quarterbore...might be time

Short action...simple as that, I don't want a long action quarter bore...they are dumb (my opinion only). In their day there wasn't these "medium" short action cartridges...wsm/saum/prc...and they made sense back then. Today cartridges...waste of bolt length...again only my opinion.
Not going to lie, if 25 Bob brass was more readily available...I have always thought it'd be cool to have one in AI version.
I never say never...but I bet I never own a belted cartridge, another dumb thing in this day and age with the options we have. I recently went 30 Nosler and not a win mag for that reason.

Should I break out my Kimber Select 257 Roberts and go shoot long range? I have some 120 grain Speer boat tails.

I had even planned to use it in a NRL hunter match next month but can’t find a 10 round AI style magazine to fit a LA. They make them for SA and even for the medium actions but no long actions. I have been shooting the 134gr Hornady bullets running them relatively slow at 3000fps just playing around shooting steel mostly. I think the PRS shooters in general are always looking for the Goldilocks spot between recoil/ BC/ seeing trace and bullet impacts. Obviously Berger and Hornady have noticed this as well and are looking to provide high BC bullets for that market they see growing. Wonder when Hornady will introduce the new 25caliber to bridge the gap between the Creedmoor and the PRC?

I knew DStroud would be a step ahead. He's always about a step and half ahead of me anyway. BlackJack started this mess and then they cut jackets off from them (at least that's the story I heard)...Berger makes some higher BC, heavier 25 bullets, those are better bullets than the Hornady's anyway

To fit 300 Win Mags I believe they do although only saw 5 rounders on their website
