I have never used them, but have vechiles set to rent twice this year. In may I have a full sized truck for two weeks all in at $770 with mileage over 3,500 at $0.08 per mile. I will actually drive in the 5k range so the truck will be about a thousand all in. In July I am renting a suburban in Alaska for 10 days for $2,000 which is $1,500 lower than the corporate car rentals. Just hope it is all as advertised!

If I rent a car; I use Turo. Never had an issue and always a better vehicle and price than rental agencies.

I just rented a 2023 Maverick hybrid from Turo. 6 day’s unlimited mileage $329, it’s for later this month so I try and remember to come back to this thread.

I have rented thru Turo countless times, my only complaint with them now is that there are a lot os small shady car dealers renting with rebuilt title cars and some stuff that isn't vetted very well. Use the filter on the website and not your phone and make sure you're getting the best deal for your trip.

We have used Turo and thought it was a pretty simple process and much cheaper than dealing with rental cars. We used Turo to do a couple of day trips to the New England coast while we were in Boston last summer.

I have used it several times. Many times with all the fees I can get a rental car through Costco cheaper. I rented an AWD SUV through Turo and although it did have M/S tires they were almost bald. It appears many people own several and try to skimp on the maintenance. I may use them, but they are not always the best option. My favorite is to use the Emerald Aisle from National Car rental. Pay for a midsize and pick anything on the lost. It is super convenient, you do not wait in line. Just get off the plane select your vehicle and leave. I have got many F150 and Tacoma 4wd, plus they have sports cars and others. Most decent size airports offer the option, although it may be slightly more expensive.

I’ve used them several times without issue but am very careful to vet the vehicle and owner. Your biggest risk is a vehicle breaking down right before or during the trip. There’s no safety net renting from an individual.

Interesting. Never heard of this, but admittedly, most of my rentals are for business. Good info.
