I have to haul liquid feed for the cattle. I figure that somewhere along the 17 miles to the ranch, I will have someone start following me thinking they will get a place to view it from. That ain't gonna happen. If I get done in time, I will grab a welding helmet to see what the fuss is all about.

I thought about charging admission and letting people in my gates.
But I dislike strangers more than I like money.
So the gates are going to remain closed.

Fredericksburg is definitely getting busier than a normal busy Friday. Fredburg is always busy. They need a loop around town, I’d drive on it. Well, they kind of do have a loop (back roads) if you are coming in from the east and take friendship lane across the southern part of town, you can miss most of the traffic. Was just going to write what you stated. We’ve been here about 6 months. Plenty of ways to avoid traffic. Plus during the week it’s a really nice town.
To be determined

Yes, wife and I owned a couple B&Bs there for a couple years, you find ways to avoid the traffic pretty quickly.

Wish I had a parking concession down there. They had parking signs up in Bernet....$200 a car. I hope they sell every spot they have.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Yep, I think everyone went somewhere else, wife has been to town several times, says no people in town at HEB or the restaurants, plenty of Bourbon at the liquor store. I'm thinking we got a dud going.

I had a guy tell me that 9 out of 10 car on the highway was from California, Oregon or Washington, I haven't seen one.

Nothing going on here. No hundred thousand people as was predicted. Total manufactured BS. There are more tourists around here on a typical summer weekend.

I had a guy tell me that 9 out of 10 car on the highway was from California, Oregon or Washington, I haven't seen one. 90% of the cars, RVs and trailer trailers I saw on Hwy. 71 on Thursday were absolutely California, have no idea where they ended up, don't care.

So the gates are going to remain closed. I know what you mean. Good thing, too. It’s going to be the end of the world. No sense in surrounding yourself with a bunch of dirty people.

This smells like the Y2K hoax. Big nothing burger. Some folks made a bunch of state money while the local VFD guys are deployed for nothing. I’ve been involved in enough of these to know it’s all about money.
