I knew this video was going show up pretty quick on here after the thread from the other day.
I had gotten two phone calls from knowledgeable folks in the “business” telling me to watch it. I guess the way he conveys the information like it’s a big coverup secret that is getting the attention that it is.
Really though if you are a serious gun nut / shooter / hand loader type this is not controversial shocking news.
In 1980 I got my first chronograph and you can imagine my disappointment when my favorite 270 Winchester load with 130gr bullets was only running 2800fps. So I ran some Remington Cor-Lokts down it….. 2875 from a 24 inch barrel???? WTH. Back then all 130gr ammo boxes showed 3110fps for that load.
We covered all this in the other thread so no need to drone on about it but I am curious to see if Hornady responds in a Podcast or acknowledges this video as it relates to the 7PRC

Since the revenue he generates from his channel depends greatly on the number of views and subscribers, he knows how to create titles for his videos that hit the hot buttons of potential viewers. But I agree, the timing of his video almost makes you think he had been creeping on the earlier thread started here. After all, his title did seem to bait those who believe ammo makers intentionally push bad data to their customers. I hope the team at Hornady does respond and share just exactly how they obtain the numbers they list on the back of their ammo boxes. I mean, they have their own social media channels who need viewers and listeners. I can already see comments from those making the claim their chrono is defective.
