since a couple weeks ago with the "tornado" with huge hail slipped by, I'm wary. We (Denton County/Frisco) are under a tornado watch eeks333

We just bought a house in Collin County. Would be just my luck to have to get a new roof after living in it for 2 months. Truck is going in the garage after work

Sustained winds of 30+ here in Midland with gusts over 50. No moisture, but a lot of times high winds out here coincide with big storms in the metroplex.

You could go thru probably 5 to 10 bad hail storms before you really need to replace the roof, this could be over a series of many many years.

Of course if you get a roofer on your roof and he sees some damage he gonna be yelling call your insurance, in reality your roof is good for another decade.

I have watched newbies in my area get a roof one year and get a new roof the next year, while his next door neighbor will wait decades.

Here in the Davis Mountains: 40-60 mph winds . Gusts to 85. The mountains disappeared in a cloud of dust.

In Sweetwater, we had a very intense half hour, with .8 inches of rain in less than 15 minutes, but no hail thank gosh.

We had a bunch of big marble to nearly golf ball sized hail in Fredericksburg. Thankfully all intact but will need to check roof tomorrow. Tow vehicle may have some lumps.

I had a hail claim in 2004 and did not replace the roof until 2021.

According to the radar, it looked like we were going to get a good soaking. Got some light rain for a short, then the line of storms split around us and no mas rain.
Cannot imaging that we got more than 1/2" which is fine considering all of the rain we have gotten lately,

Quite a bit of marble sized hail, high winds and .34" of rain in NW Erath county. Thankful it wasn`t any worse. I`ll take the rain.

Checked the rain gauge, only 1/8" of rain.

Second round early this morning, around 1 am, dropped .20”. Sounded like some small hail for the first couple minutes.

Truck looks like it encountered a Gremlin carrying a small ball peen hammer. Already filed a claim. Filed on the 5er as well just in case. Have not been up top yet.
