Trying to come up some idea of light to place under the feeder.. Im having trouble finding new ones that are reasonable.. Im wanting to make something out of a solar light. Ie.. lowes or Home Depot yard lights.. Give me what you got.......

I used solar lights on my feeder to hunt hogs in Arkansas. If you use the ones that stake in the ground the hogs will tear them up. I mounted the spotlight type on the sides of the feeder and angled them out a little bit and they worked great. You could also mount them on a pole/fence post and angle them at the feeder which ever you prefer. Just be sure you don't get them too bright try to simulate moonlight and the game don't get spooked.

I've got a couple Aggie engineering buddies that have designed some REALLY cool set-ups.
I'll see if I can get some pictures from them to post for you.

I have a solar "flood" light on one of the fence posts of the feeder pen. Just put it up a couple of weeks ago but the pigs still come to the corn. It isn't all that bright really but you can see the pin on the bow sight.

Try harbor freight, I have a solar powered led security light I haven't hunted under it yet but in camp it looks like it should light up under a feeder ok. I think it cost me like $32.

I hunted with a crazy drunk in Matador that made his own hog lights. Bought plastic ammo boxes from Academy. Cut 2 holes in the box for the red lights....wired them to a solar panel that was mounted on top of the box. Worked well after I moved the light....the drunk had it like 100 yards off the feeder.

Check out texasboars.com. they have some pretty nice ones but i believe they are fairly pricey. those that are home made look pretty sweet and would proably work just as well.

Let me know how you like it and how well it works. I may have to get a couple after deer season.
